Glückstädter Drachenboot-Cup

Are you ready? Attention...Go!

Here we go again... Glückstadt's inland harbor will once again be transformed into a regatta course with a 250-meter-long race course and the finish line just before the harbor head. A dragon boat is 12.45 meters long and 1.16 meters wide. A team consists of up to 18 paddlers – including at least six female paddlers – and a drummer. The dragon boats are lined up at a starting line and sent into the race with the starting call "Are you ready? Attention... Go!" Then the teams dip their paddles deep and, paddling in time to the drum beat, bring the boat up to speed and across the finish line.

Whether as a spectator or paddler, great fun for everyone!
