School Concert »Intergalactic Highway«

Other
Elbphilharmonie (Kleiner Saal), Hamburg
€5.00

When the power-hungry tyrant Dr. Cortex decides to ban live music across the globe and launch all instruments, orchestras, and sheet music into space, five extraterrestrial beings set out on a journey to save music.
The staged concert “Intergalactic Highway” takes the audience on an exciting space mission. The Dianto Reed Quintet, a young, enthusiastic woodwind quintet, plays both old classical music by composers such as Jean Sibelius, Antonio Vivaldi, and Robert Schumann, as well as new pieces. The musicians want to be free to choose their own repertoire—something they also realize on their journey. Can they use the power of music to change the tyrant's mind?
