Traditionally, on the 1st Saturday in September, the Festival of Lights starts again in Burg am Kanal.
The NOK Romantika on the Kiel Canal has established itself as the largest festival of lights in Schleswig-Holstein and is a real insider tip. An approximately 100 km long chain of lights stretches along the canal between Kiel and Brunsbüttel. Visitors on the water's edge support the torch light with their own candles and lanterns, creating a unique atmosphere.
