Konstantin Frantz

Classical Music
Elbphilharmonie (Kleiner Saal), Hamburg

At no time does music touch our hearts as deeply as during Advent. Konstantin Frantz – the son of two internationally renowned interpreters of classical music – discovered his love for playing the piano at the age of four. Like his parents, Justus Frantz and Ksenia Dubrovskaja, classical music became the very essence of life for the young Frantz. With his ability to make playing the piano feel like an extension of himself, he captivates his audience.

The Ian and Barbara Karan Foundation is committed to supporting young people. A particular focus is on providing young people with a migrant background with access to broader educational and participation opportunities through language support. Language is an essential tool for contributing one's own perspectives and becoming socially visible. Access to cultural education is equally important, which is why the foundation supports music and art projects that open up spaces for young people to develop their creativity and their own forms of expression.
