On an evening like this, multiple literature prize winner Clara Lösel takes her audience on a journey through the entire spectrum of emotions – joy and emotion are often so close together that you don’t know whether you’re laughing or crying – or perhaps both at the same time. What you can clearly feel, however, is that Clara’s words are genuine.

They come straight from her heart, reach our ears – and hit us where words really make a difference: right in the centre of our feelings. A feeling that says you’re ok. A feeling that wants nothing more from you than to be who you already are – yourself. Courage, hope, strength – all this is in and between her lines.

What once began as a self-created social media challenge for 100 days has long since become a powerful movement that can no longer be stopped. Clara’s words are too important because they express the pain and hope of so many people who are overwhelmed by social challenges – and because she does so in a way that makes her an indispensable bridge-builder between generations. Her ability to find apt words for what so many feel inside is too important.
