The Barge Steam Suction Vessel IV was once in use in the Port of Hamburg. It consists of a non-powered pontoon with a steam-powered pumping system. The suction devices collected water-mixed dredged material from barges and pumped it ashore to the dredging fields. As part of the Open Ship program for the Port's anniversary, visitors will be able to experience life and work on board.
