The pirate Klaus Störtebeker, who robbed the rich, helped the poor, and ultimately paid with his life, is a legend in northern Germany. But how does one become one? What kind of boy must he have been, who would do everything he could to become a pirate? And in the dark Middle Ages, no less? Seven actors in numerous roles energetically tell the fantastic backstory of the boy who would one day become Störtebeker – a boy searching for a home, a name, and himself.

A full-throttle theatrical spectacle featuring brave girls, talking rats, and not-so-evil pirates, with silly puns, a disease whose name must not be spoken, and, of course, a mysterious treasure that turns out to be a real pirate's blessing!
